WHAT IS IT ALL ABOUT?The Crazy Catch Challenge will be visiting Island schools throughout 2013 in years 5&6.
Each unique challenge is a test of balance and hand-eye coordination. The Crazy Catch frames have a sane and insane side which will test the participants reflexes and range of movement. You get 60 seconds to complete as many catches as you can in each of the three challenges. If you drop the catch you don't have to start again on zero but it does not count towards your total. You must be two metres back from the frame and you must use a tennis ball to catch with. There are also lots of other fun and exciting challenges taking place throughout the year aimed at making catching fun. Whatever level you are at with your catching we will make it better! |
CHALLENGE ONE "Throw & Catch"This challenge involves 60 second's of throwing the ball onto the Crazy Catch and recording the number of times a catch is taken successfully. You must be 2 metres back when you throw and when a catch is made.
|
CHALLENGE TWO "Left to Right Catch"In this one you have 60 second's to throw as many catches from your left to right hand and back again recording the number of times a catch is taken successfully. You must be 2 metres back when you throw.
|
CHALLENGE THREE "Double Clap & Catch"Challenge Three again gives you 60 second's to throw the ball onto the Crazy Catch but this time you must clap behind your back and in front of you before taking the catch. Stay 2 metres back and good luck!
