You have to spend half the game in the field so you had better learn to love fielding. You might not even touch the ball for a while until suddenly the batter hits one into the air and you are underneath it! Look around you, steady yourself, call your name so that people know it's yours. Watch it all the way down into your hands whilst catching it in front of your eyes. A round of applause rings out from the crowd, all that practice and it all comes together in a match. |
